So, here's the deal...

I have a daughter who is an amazing writer, friends that are incredible at it and it has always scared me to death...I mean, when I had to write a note to the kids teachers when they were in elementary school I would labor over it for what seemed like hours. I would be concerned whether or not a comma should go here or there and if I was spelling all the words right because I was writing to a teacher for goodness sake! Well, I'm not gonna worry about that on this blog and hopefully I won't make too many mistakes, and drive you all crazy! This is just an outlet for me, and one I've never tried before, so I wanted to see how it would go. I may never blog again after this, but I'll begin with...

Change...

While change is just an inevitable part of life, the past seven years have been chock full of it! I cling to the promise in Romans 8:28 "And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose."

After a job change we uprooted our family from the only home the kids had really ever known and moved to the country. While it was a hard thing on everybody, I believe it was the best thing we could have done. I mean, where else can you sit in your easy chair drinking coffee and looking out the window into your back yard and watching deer graze. They really love all the delicious veggies Mark plants in the spring! :) Thus "Big" change...fast forward to the present...my oldest and youngest both graduated in May. Sarah from SFA and Ben from Whitehouse High School. Becca enlisted in the Navy a few months ago and Sarah just moved to Boston! Mark is still traveling with his job and I'm learning how to be healthy with diabetes...oh yeah, I forgot to mention that small surprise I got almost 3 years ago. A total blessing in disguise...I am healthier today than I was 10 years ago!

God is doing some wonderful things in our family and I am looking to the future with great anticipation. I'm excited to see what is coming next...
